| you can read it however you want (and since you think that little ole Baylor couldn't possibly attract any real athletes unless it cheats) you go right ahead and read it that way. I read it that Norm Stewart was a blow hard when he coached and now that he lives out in California he is even less in touch with whats going on and has no clue whether Scott Drew cheats or not. Baylor is one of the most scrutinized programs in NCAA division 1 Basketball. If they were cheating, they would have been caught a long time ago. Its about time aggy's got over it a learned to live with the fact that people just might want to come play at Baylor and just might find our facilities are as good as we advertise. |

When you start busting out the 'aggy' I know I'm under your skin. 
Where did I say athletes didn't want to goto Baylor because of their resources? There are probably tons that do.
I do find it odd that BU went from the absolute worst to #3 to KU & tu in just a few years when it comes to recruiting. I think your being a little naive to believe there hasn't been any shady tactics or cheating. |

Drew did win recuiter of the year at Valpo BEFORE he came to Baylor...maybe Baylor just hired a guy that knows how to sell a program...whether he does it on teh fringe of the rules or not i dont konw nor do i care, im pretty sure if he was doing something illegal to the NCAA they would have hammered us for it since they basically had their office set up in Waco for the last 7 years...
i think a lot of the negativity about Drew comes from the fact that he didnt work his way up through the good ole boy system of caoches before he got a D1 gig in a power conference...that and the fact that he doesnt cater to the big name coaches in the conference like they think he should so they make offhanded comments about him in the media to fuel some desire for baylor to be cheating since they shouldnt be good...that and now he is beating some of those coaches makes them comment more often...what is the weirdest thing is Drew seems to get along best w/ Turgeon but it seems to be the Aggies who complain the most about us cheating, but maybe that is jsut the ones i hear the most often...dunno |

Certainly plausible. Could just be a really good recruiter though.
I could see him being a little dirty, especially if other coaches in the league are not fond of him. But without proof I wouldn’t go as far as saying he is breaking the rules. |

i just went from six to midnight seeing sahen get that fired up in less than one sentence. ALLESOME
However there is no doubt in my mind scott drew cheats. There is literally no logical reason for him to get the players he does without it. He has already been documented that he hires coaches and dads/moms in order to get big time recruits to come. A coach that is that piss poor during actual game time has to do something to get a fucking win.
but whatever, a lot of coaches implement his tactics. Coach Cal is famous for it, and so was Billy G. BCG was known for always trying to cut a deal like that to provide more incentive for a player to come. However, i don't remember outside of DeAndre Jordan who it worked for. |

im a little worried about sundawg now, glad this is an anonomous forum (right AWOL?)....
Drew has been documented as hiring one kids AAU coach that I remember and we didnt even get the kid....
the poor in game coach stigma has seemed to worn off since the guy finally got a team w/ actual big men...except w/ aggies whom he is 3-3 against the past 3 years...go figure... |
